FLINT -- Down by double-digits in the first half, Mott survives a scare in their season opener, beating Grand Rapids Community College 79-76.

 

Sophomore forward Fred Mattison led the Bears with 20 points and eight rebounds. Freshman Devin Foster added 14 points.

 

Freshmen Malik Albert and Ahasuerus McDonald had seven points for the Bears.
