HTH Week Four: Swartz Creek holds off Holly

SWARTZ CREEK -- Swartz Creek imporves to 9-1 as they were able to hold off Holly, winning the game 56-47.

J.D. Tisdale led the way for the Dragons scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. For Holly, Justis Kerner was the top performer with 13 points followed by Kyle Woodruff with 9 points. Swartz Creek advances to 9-1 in the Flint Metro League, right behind Fenton. Holly's record goes to 7-5.

The Davison girls basketball team defeated Flint Northwestern 74-48. Thats 12 in a row for Davison.

Powers Catholic Boys hosted Flint Southwestern. Southwestern took the win 62-50.

Our in depth story of the week featured the Northwood Timberwolves mens basketball team. Senior Guard Andrew VanDierendonck just hit the 1,000 point mark while Coach Rekeweg is on the verge of hitting 300 career wins.
