Morris scores 29pts in Beecher win
EAST LANSING -- Monte Morris, and the Beecher Bucs, advanced to the Class C state title game Thursday with a 73-55 win over Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central.
Morris, who was named Michigan's Mr. Basketball Monday, led all scorers with 29 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
The Bucs will face Laingsburg, who defeated Negaunee in the semifinals, Saturday at the Breslin Center.
