'Waiting for Next Year,' a Cleveland sports blog, is reporting that Tom Izzo has informed his players at Michigan State that he plans to take the Cavaliers head coaching position.
The report states that Izzo will wait until the end of the week to make his announcement. Students finish school in Lansing at that time.
Another blog, 'Hey Joe' on lsj.com reports that Izzo did meet with his players but that he has not made a decision.
The Detroit News, meanwhile, is reporting that Joel Ferguson, the chairman of the Michigan State Board of Trustees, said Izzo already turned down an offer from the Chicago Bulls this offseason.
