Saginaw wins first game in state title defense

SAGINAW -- Saginaw opened its state title defense with a win against Mt. Pleasant with a 78-60 win Friday night.

 

The Trojans used heavy defensive pressure throughout the first half, opening a 35-24 halftime lead. They never looked back.

 

The defending Class A state champs play again on December 11 against Midland.

 

In Flint, Powers Catholic’s new coach Jeremy Trent wins his debut, knocking off Flint Northwestern 50-42.
