Michigan State is ranked 27th in the USA Today Preseason Coaches' Poll.
(AP) -- No Michigan teams made the Top 25 of the USA Today preseason football coaches' poll, which was released Friday.
Michigan State had 136 votes, making them 27th. Central Michigan received three votes, while the University of Michigan had one vote.
Defending national champion Florida tops the poll, receiving 53 of 59 first-place votes.
Texas was second in the poll, followed by Oklahoma, Southern California, Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, LSU and Mississippi.
The Associated Press preseason Top 25 will be released Saturday, Aug. 22.
