Mammoth offensive lineman has committed to Indiana University
CLIO -- Corunna senior offensive lineman Jalen Schlachter spent the afternoon at the NBC25 studios in Clio, shooting a commercial for Friday Night Football.
The show's 2010 debut is set for August 27th.
The commercial will begin airing in the coming weeks.
Schlachter ended the drama surrounding his national recruitment, accepting a scholarship offer in July to play football for Indiana University.
"It was nice to have the summer, only weight training and conditioning to go off to colleges and look because it was a lot to go down out of state and drive six hours, but it was nice," said Schlachter, who stands 6'7" and weights between 305-310 pounds, depending on when he has eaten his last meal.
Corunna opens the 2010 season at home versus rival Owosso.
