Saad ranked 8th best prospect in North America
SAGINAW -- The National Hockey League’s Central Scouting Bureau released their mid-term rankings for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft Monday, with four Spirit players ranked by the bureau as top prospects for this summer’s draft.
The players were ranked amongst North American skaters, with a separate ranking having been compiled for European players eligible for the draft.
Winger Brandon Saad was ranked the eighth top eligible North American skater amongst 210 ranked prospects, while center Vincent Trocheck was ranked the 42nd top prospect. Winger Anthony Camara rounded out Saginaw’s presence in the skater’s category, having been ranked the 86th top prospect. Spirit netminder Tadeas Galansky was ranked the tenth top prospect amongst North American goalies, of which 33 goalie prospects were ranked.
The 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft will take place at the Xcel Energy Center of St. Paul, Minnesota, home of the Minnesota Wild, on June 24 and 25.
