Tight end remaining optimistic throughout NFL lockout
DAVISON -- Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew took time out of his schedule to meet fans and sign autographs at Menard's in Davison on Friday night.
He and his gridiron counterparts are still enduring the ongoing NFL lockout, and collectively wondering if they will have a season come the fall. And even though he was clearly in good spirits being around his fans, it's apparent that the ongoing labor predicament is never far from his thoughts.
"It's a tough situation for everybody, 'cause obviously you know, it's approaching football season," began Pettigrew. "Everyone wants to know what their teams are looking like. But it's just one of those things we have to deal with, and it's a process."
"I'm appreciating all the fans for coming out here and supporting the Lions, and supporting me."
