Cardianls pull away with late free throws down the stretch

DAVISON -- In their Big Nine rematch, Davison defeated Powers Catholic, 66-60, for the second time this season.

The Chargers cut their defecit to one with under two minutes left, but the Cardinals calmly sank free throws to ice the game.

"It was a total team effort, a full team effort," said Shane Alderson, Davison head coach. "All ten guys contributed and all ten guys bought in to this system and we're very pleased."

In our In Depth interview, Pistons Live analyst Mateen Cleaves shared his journey into the world of broadcasting. He also talked about when he sees the Detroit Pistons becoming a winner again.

"It's gonna take some time," Cleaves said. "In about a year or two they should be making waves to get back on top."

In a TVC East matchup, Caro knocked off Frankenmuth59-52.

After most of their starters were dismissed from the team, Birch Run fell to Essexville Garber 54-51 in another TVC East game.

In Genesee Township, Swartz Creek's Lady Dragons defeated Flint Kearsley 54-42.
