Goodrich beat Carrollton 62-46 Monday night.

MT MORRIS -- Last Friday, Goodrich boys beat Flint Powers to win their first district title since 1999.

Monday, they took on Carrollton, who stunned Bridgeport last week to win their own class B district title.

The two teams met in Mt Morris Monday for the regional semi final.

The Martians were hot in the first quarter, Nathan Landsgaard got points in the paint, while Alec Myers' two three-balls in a row helped Goodrich jump out to a 24-13 lead after one. That first quarter surge was enough to defeat the Cavaliers 64-46. Goodrich moves on to take on Corunna in the regional final on Wednesday.

In Class A, after Fenton's dramatic double-overtime victory last Friday over Clarkston, the Tigers fell Monday to Saginaw High 59-48.

Flint Northwestern stunned Bay City Western 76-65. Northwestern will take on Saginaw in the regional final on Wednesday.

In Class C, Beecher continued to roll. The Bucs beat Madison Heights Madison 63-49. They will take on Detroit Consortium on Wednesday.
