ALLEN PARK -- Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz addressed the media Thursday in preparation for the start of training camp on Friday.

One of the very first questions asked of the head coach was about the dismissal of Aaron Berry.

"That was a very hard football decision, but a very easy team decision," Schwartz said.

He was also asked about the off-season arrests of some other players including Nick Fairley and Mikel Leshoure, among others.

"Everyone knew the expectations after leaving last season," he said. "I hope everyone was thinking about it leading up to our first practice and out in their personal lives, but I do not think anyone will be thinking about it on the field."
