BEECHER -- Freshman QB Jelani Taylor threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns as Beecher beat Durand at home 33-14.

Senior Eric Cooper had 132 yards receiving and a touchdown to help the Bucs move to 2-0 on the year.

In Saginaw Township, Nouvel Catholic also went to 2-0, beating 2011 Division Five runner-up Lansing Catholic 33-28.

Linden beat Holly 37-15, despite the Broncos' Evan Papuga rushing for two scores of 98 and 95 yards, respectively, in the first quarter.
