The Detroit Pistons are hosting auditions for dancers ages 55 and older interested in joining the squad known as The Motown Classics, launched last season to enthusiastic fans at the team’s home games.

Auditions will take place on Tuesday, November 25 on the arena floor with registration beginning at 9 a.m.  All candidates, men or women, should enter through the West Atrium and wear comfortable clothing to learn dance moves.  Tennis shoes are recommended.  Choreography will be provided by the audition staff.

The chosen candidates will perform as the Motown Classics at seven Detroit Pistons home games and participate in other public appearances and events.

“There are so many great performance groups at The Palace and this squad is no exception.  We really have something for everyone and the Motown Classics have proven to be an amazing experience for those involved and for the fans,” said Dance Team Director Rebecca Girard.
