Michigan State, Michigan can't crack AP Top 25

(AP) -- NEW YORK - Michigan State and Michigan couldn't crach the first regular-season Top 25 poll by The Associated Press.
Michigan State, which beat Montana State 44-3 on Saturday, had 83 votes. Michigan, which beat Western Michigan 31-7, had 18 votes.
No. 9 BYU has jumped 11 spots and No. 4 Alabama has received two first-place votes.
The Cougars pulled the biggest upset of the opening weekend of the college football season, beating Oklahoma 14-13 on Saturday.
Sooners Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford was knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury. Oklahoma drops 10 spots from No. 3 to No. 13.
Florida is still an overwhelming No. 1, receiving 56 of 60 first-place votes Tuesday. Texas holds steady at No. 2, with two first-place votes. Alabama moved up one spot after its 34-24 victory against Virginia Tech.
Moving into the rankings are Miami, Cincinnati and Missouri. Oregon, Florida State and Iowa fall out.
