NOVI (AP) -- Former Detroit Lions and Michigan State receiver Charles Rogers has been arrested on a drunken-driving charge.

Novi police say the 28-year-old Saginaw native was arrested Wednesday afternoon after failing sobriety tests. Rogers refused a Breathalyzer and results of a blood test are pending.

He was arraigned Thursday on charges of operating while intoxicated and operating without a valid license.

Rogers was ordered held on $50,000 bond and didn't have an attorney on record with the court. A pretrial conference is set for Monday.

The second overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft served a 30-day jail sentence, with credit for 15 days, earlier this year instead of staying in an intensive counseling program after violating probation in a domestic violence case.
