ANN ARBOR (AP) -- Talor Battle scored 14 points and Andrew Jones added 10 Saturday to lead Penn State to a 55-51 upset victory over Michigan.

The Nittany Lions (10-16, 2-12 Big Ten) broke open a close game with a 7-0 run six minutes into the second half and held the lead the remainder of the way. Penn State, which had lost 12 straight Big Ten games before winning Wednesday at Northwestern, has won two consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 19-21.

Manny Harris had 20 points and DeShawn Sims 10 for the Wolverines (13-13, 6-8). The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Michigan, which has not won three straight games since the start of the season.
