(AP) -- ANN ARBOR, Mich. - A 22-year-old dropped from the University of Michigan football team faces up to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to four robbery charges.
Boubacar Cissoko entered the plea Wednesday in Washtenaw County Circuit Court.
Cissoko was originally charged with trying to rob a cab driver but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of assault with intent to rob, which carries a 15-year sentence. He also admitted three charges of larceny from a person including another cab driver and sandwich delivery men.
Cissoko started Michigan's first four games at cornerback last season, was suspended for two games for violating team rules, then played in one more game before being dismissed from the team.
Cissoko remains jailed pending an Aug. 10 sentencing.
