(AP) -- ALLEN PARK, Mich. - All Nate Burleson wants to do is fit in.

The veteran receiver signed with the Detroit Lions in the offseason in a move designed to take pressure off Lions' star receiver Calvin Johnson. But Burleson said Monday his plan is to make a Lions' receiving corps that ranked 21st in the NFL last season more explosive and balanced.

Entering the second week of training camp, Burleson has fit right in, bringing what coach Jim Schwartz called a fearless element to Detroit's passing game.

Schwartz said Burleson's role could expand to special teams, giving the Lions an explosive playmaker on punt and kickoff returns. That's just fine with the 8-year veteran, who sees the opportunity as just another way to reach the end zone.
