SAGINAW TWP. -- In an entertaining Saginaw Valley League matchup, B.C. Western and Saginaw Heritage settled for a 1-1 tie in a boys soccer game on Monday night.

Each team dented the scoreboard in the final ten minutes of the opening half.  Heritage took a 1-0 lead after a clearing attempt by the Warriors richocheted off a number of players before finding its way into the goal.  But Western responded with an impressive tally only minutes later, as Craig Neal headed in a corner kick to the game at one apiece.

Despite numerous good chances at both ends of the field in the second half, neither team could put home the go-ahead goal, as the schools settled for a 1-1 deadlock.
