Track hosting 'Bus Mania' on Saturday night
CLIO -- Clio's Auto City Speedway is getting set for 'Bus Mania' on Saturday night.
Full size school busses will maneuver the track's infield figure 8, in a race night that always seem to be a fan favorite.
The event is the culimination of the 'Race 2 Read' program within the Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools.
The speedway's marquee event this summer takes place on June 25th, when the 'Xtreme Sprint Car Series' rolls into town.
"Sprint guys from all over the country will be joining us for the show that night, for what are called 'the twin 20's," says Auto City;s owner/operator and promoter Joe DeWitte.
DeWitte also has high praise for NASCAR Sprint Cup driver and Michigan native Brad Keselowski, who is 26th in points, after 10 Sprint Cup races this season.
"We're proud. We'd love to have him back here. They would just spend days out here practicing. Its just been a pleasure to watch his career. Its just been absolutely incredible. We're proud to see where he's at, and we wish him all the best and I think in the future we're going to see him even bigger and better," says DeWitte.
Keselowski won Auto City Speedway's 'Factory Stock series' back in 2000.
