Michigan International Speedway hosts one of last races before Chase for the Cup
BROOKLYN -- Only four races before NASCAR enters its postseason and the race could not be tighter.
93 points separate first place from tenth place and things continue to shake up as drivers enter their second stint at Michigan International Speedway for the Pure Michigan 400 on Sunday.
Point leader Kyle Busch is not alone in his leading position, as he is tied with Carl Edwards for the top spot.
But Busch, much like all drivers, knows the season is far from over.
"The wins are what's going to win (the championship)," Busch said. "When you come down to the last ten races, you're going to be battling for every single point you can get."
However, being in the top crux of the standings does not necessarily mean a guaranteed spot.
Drivers, such as Michigan native Brad Keselowski, are making their moves toward the top, remind others that no one is safe with four races before the Chase.
Keselowski has been on a hot streak as of late, winning the race at Pocano and following up with a strong second place finish at Watkins Glen.
The Nationwide champion from Rochester Hills qualified sixth for the upcoming race.
Greg Biffle, the driver of the Pure Michigan car, who sits in 13th, 142 points back from the co-leaders, will hold the pole when the flag waves on Sunday.
