Saginaw clinches series with 3-1 win in Game SIx

SAGINAW -- The Saginaw Spirit advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals in the OHL playoffs, beating Sarnia 3-1 and winning the series 4-2.

In the clinching game, Justin Kea started the scoring with an empty-net goal in the first period. VIncent Trocheck and Michael Fine added goals in the second and third periods, respectively.

Jake Paterson made 34 saves, 13 in the first period.

The Saginaw Spirit will play in the OHL Western Conference Semifinals for a second straight year. They were eliminated by WIndsor, 4-2, in 2011.
