With the NBA Draft looming, former Michigan State Spartan Draymond Green only needs to wait to find out who his new team will be.
A large amount of mock drafts have Green getting picked late in the first round, by teams such as the Indiana Pacers with the 26th pick, or the Miami Heat with the 27th pick.
Green, 6-foot-7 and 235 pounds, made two Final Four appearances playing for Michigan State, and was the 2012 Big Ten Male Athlete of the Year. While at Saginaw High School, he was a part of two State Championship basketball teams in 2007 and 2008.
While his peers may be worried about where Green will end up and when he will be picked, Green himself has not seemed to be as worried. He told MLive "You just have to sit it out and hope for the best. I'm not going to get mad about anything I hear, and I'm not going to get too excited about anything I hear."
Along with Green, Spartan coach Tom Izzo has few worries for the outcome of the draft.
"They can't tell me where he's going to go, but they say, 'Don't worry Tom, he'll be playing in the NBA,'" Izzo told MLive.
The 2012 NBA Draft will take place Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. in Newark, New Jersey. The New Orleans Hornets have the first pick overall in the draft, and are likely to select Anthony Davis, who played with the Kentucky Wildcats. The Detroit Pistons will have the 9th, 39th, and 44th picks in the draft.
