With 12 home runs in the final round, Prince Fielder defeated Jose Bautista and won his second Home Run Derby in four years.
Fielder was one of four representatives for the American League, along with Toronto's Bautista, Mark Trumbo of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees. Fielder scored a total of 28 home runs, and led into the final with 16 home runs.
He becomes the first Detroit Tiger to win the derby, and the first player to win it with both the American and National leagues.
