New third jerseys were unveiled Monday morning by the Saginaw Spirit, the team plans to use them in select games during the 2012-13 OHL season.
The third jerseys, like Saginaw's current home and away jerseys, will use red, white and blue as the primary colors. Instead of the crest logo, the word 'Saginaw' will be displayed diagonally down the front of the third jersey, in a design similar to the New York Rangers' uniforms.
The secondary color will run across the shoulders and arms of the third jersey, as opposed to the current home and away jerseys, which use the secondary color on the shoulders, and then for a stripe on the arms.
The 2012-13 season will mark the Spirit's 11th season in the Ontario Hockey League. Spirit players who have gone on to play in the NHL include the likes of Jan Mursak, Tom Pyatt, and Ryan McDonough.
