Flint native and U.S. middlewight boxer Claressa Shields will fight Swede Anna Laurell in Monday's middleweight quarterfinal in London at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Shields, 17, who received a bye in the round of 16, faces Laurell, 32, who eliminated Aussie Naomi-Lee FIscher-Rasmussen earlier today.

Laurell is a two-time world champion and a three-time European champion, dating back to 2001.

Shields is the defending U.S. champion after winning the team trials back in February.

Both fighters lost to English boxer Savannah Marshall in China at the World Championships in May.

The bout will take place at about 3:45 pm in London--10:45 am ET. It will be streamed live from CNBC on nbcolympics.com
