DAVISON -- The first week of high school football practice wrapping up, Friday we traveled to Davison, where the Cardinals are preparing for a tough 2012 schedule.

Last year, Davison went 3-6, but Head Coach Jake Emmendorfer said that record is deceiving.

The Cardinals lost four games by a total of 13 points. He said, they easily could have had a 7-win season.

This year, they've got high hopes. Davison has approximately eight returning starters on each side of the ball, the remaining positions will be filled by a Cardinal JV squad that went undefeated last season.

Emmendorfer believes they can make a dent in their first season in the Saginaw Valley League.
