BIRCH RUN -- It was a back and forth battle between Birch Run and the visiting Chesaning Indians Monday night in the boys' season opener.

19-16 Panthers led at the half.

Chesaning tied it at 23 on a three ball from Indians' Josh Kunik.

Birch run came right back to lead by four in the final seconds of the 3rd quarter until Panthers' Brett Boulis hit a half-court shot to beat the buzzer and give the Panthers a 7-point lead.

Birch Run goes on to win 52-46.
