GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP -- A fire at a Grand Blanc Township apartment last night lead to a family being evacuated into the cold.

Fire crews arrived at the Perry Place Apartments around 10:30 PM.

The fire started in an upsairs apartment and crews were able to stop it from spreading.

The fire chief says thanks to a recent staffing inscrease, crews were able to arrive within three minutes and limit the damage.
