Yesterday at 6:22 PM  A Saginaw county man was arraigned Monday, charged with the murder of businessman James Owens. The 77-year old was found dead inside his home last Wednesday.

Sunday, June 16, 2013  At 12:10 am on June 15th 2013, Officers responded to the area of S. 5th and Burt reference shots fired. Once on scene, officers located a 44 year old female who had been shot.

Friday, June 14, 2013  Man's best friend is joining a group of bronze statues at Swartz Creek's cherished veterans memorial downtown.  The Swartz Creek Area Veterans Memorial Committee unveiled a sixth and final statue of a military dog during a special dedication ceremony on Friday. The statue was modeled after Ike, the K-9 officer with the Swartz Creek police department.
