Motorists will notice extra officers making sure drivers are buckled up during the state’s Buckle Up or Pay Up, Click It or Ticket campaign that runs through June 4. More than 570 law enforcement agencies will conduct seat belt enforcement zones this weekend. Drivers should also be on the lookout for construction zones.

Drivers are bracing for lane closures and congestion on a major Bay City thoroughfare. Construction began Friday on Salzburg Avenue from the west side of Euclid Avenue east to the Lafayette Bridge. Parts of M13 and M84 will be closed during the project, expected to last until early November.
