After spending five days in the south Florida sun for a small vacation, I had no idea things would be even hotter when I returned to Michigan last night.

Things won't be any better today, check out the NBC25 weather forecast.

Another day of hot and humid weather is expected in Michigan, with highs around 100 degrees in places.

The National Weather Service issued heat advisories for parts of southeast Michigan for Friday, a day after 100-degree-plus readings were made across the state's Lower Peninsula.

More hot weather is in the forecast for Saturday. In the southern part of the state, air quality alerts were issued because of the hot and humid weather.

And in parts of the northern Lower Peninsula a "red flag warning" was issued because of high wildfire threat.

Officials are urging caution, since the hot conditions can be dangerous especially to the elderly and young children and those exposed to the heat all day.

Stay cool out there!
