A sizzling start to the work week is expected with temperatures slated to climb close to 100 degrees on Monday before rain and a cooler conditions move in for the rest of the week.
The forecast for today calls for a high of 96 degrees with hazy conditions across the region. There are also a few scattered thunderstorms expected later int he day. The wind will also be blowing SSS at 10-20 mph.
The cooldown will come as early as Tuesday, with a high of 85 degrees. Temps are not expected to be any higher then the mid-80's for the remainder of the week.
The likelihood of showers and thunderstorms will increase towards the end of the week.
