UNION TOWNSHIP -- A pickup truck that was left unattended while warming up was stolen and then involved in a high-speed crash on Sunday night in Union Township according to the Isabella County Sheriff's office.

Police say a 20-year-old woman jumped into the unattended 1988 GMC Sierra pickup outside of the owner's residence.

The woman made her way to US-127 southbound.

The owner of the pickup advised the police that the woman driving the pickup was going over 100 miles-per-hour.

The sheriff's office says that she lost control of the pickup and left the roadway to the west and went airborne.

The truck then slid through a fence at Genuine Road, then crossed Genuine Road and went into a ditch.

After going into the ditch, police tell us it hit some small trees and started to roll numerous times, eventually ejecting the woman, who was not wearing a seat belt.

The pickup eventually stopped rolling on Maple Creek Golf Course.

The woman driving the pickup was taken to McLaren Mid-Michigan Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw.

The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.

Charges are still pending.

Police are still investigating.
